Acceptable Use
Policy

Audience

Everyone using the Marketplace

The shortlist of things you can't do on Amplify. Designed to keep the marketplace safe, fair, and legally clean for creators, brands, and the audiences who see the work.

01Scope

When this policy applies

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everyone who uses Ikaroa Amplify, whether they have signed up or not. It applies to public profiles, claimed accounts, posted offers, applications, awarded deals, in-product messages, off-platform communications relating to a deal, and any data accessed through the public API at /api/amplify/v1.

Breach of this policy is a breach of the Marketplace Terms and entitles Ikaroa to suspend or terminate access without notice.

02Prohibited content

Content you must not post or solicit

Sexual content involving minors. Always reported to the relevant authorities, no exceptions.

Adult sexual content, escort or sex-work services, or anything intended to facilitate them.

Promotion of illegal drugs, prescription drugs without a prescription, weapons, ammunition, gambling in jurisdictions where it is unlawful, multi-level marketing schemes, pyramid schemes, or financial scams.

Hate speech, violent extremism, terrorist propaganda, content that targets a person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability.

Doxxing, harassment, threats of violence, or any content that reveals private personal information without consent.

Misleading health, medical, or financial claims, including unsupported claims about cures, supplements, weight loss, crypto returns, or guaranteed investment performance.

Deepfakes or non-consensual synthetic media that depict a real person.

03Prohibited conduct

Conduct you must not engage in

Buying, selling, or coordinating fake followers, fake likes, fake comments, fake views, fake reviews, or fake applications. This includes "engagement pods" used to inflate metrics for the purpose of winning a Deal.

Misrepresenting your audience, your stats, your location, your demographics, your past brand collaborations, or your category. Audited stats are pulled from third-party data partners and the source platform; any conflict between what you claim and what those sources say is treated as misrepresentation.

Claiming a profile that is not yours, or impersonating another person, brand, or organisation.

Scraping, crawling, or otherwise extracting data from the Marketplace by automated means, beyond the public API endpoints we publish at /api/amplify/v1. Reasonable, identified use of those public endpoints is welcome; abuse will be rate-limited and may result in API-key revocation.

Attempting to manipulate search ranking, category placement, recommendation order, or audience-match scores.

Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract source code from the Marketplace web app or mobile app.

Using the Marketplace to launder money, evade sanctions, evade tax, or facilitate any other financial crime.

Circumventing the Take Rate by taking a Deal off-platform after first connecting through the Marketplace. See section 16 of the Marketplace Terms.

04Communications

In-product and off-platform communications

You must not send unsolicited bulk messages, spam pitches that are not related to a posted Offer, phishing attempts, malware, or any content prohibited under section 2.

You must respect the contact preferences of other users. If a Brand or Creator does not respond to two messages from you within seven days, treat that as a "no" and move on.

Once a Deal is awarded, off-platform communication (email, WhatsApp, Slack, video call) is expected. Use it to deliver the work. Do not use it to harass, defame, or pressure the other party. Do not use it to solicit unrelated business that is intended to bypass the Marketplace.

05Disclosure compliance

Advertising disclosure compliance

Every paid, gifted, or hosted-stay Deliverable is a commercial communication. You must label it as such in line with the rules of the country where the audience is located, including the FTC Endorsement Guides (US), the CAP Code and the ASA "Influencer's guide" (UK), the ASCI guidelines (India), Directive 2005/29/EC and national implementations (EU), and the National Media Council rules (UAE).

Failure to disclose properly is a breach of this policy and exposes Ikaroa, the Brand, and you to regulatory action. Repeat failures are grounds for termination.

06Reporting

How to report a violation

If you see content or conduct that breaches this policy, write to abuse@ikaroa.com with as much evidence as you can share (screenshots, links, account handles, timestamps, the specific clause you believe has been breached). For urgent safety issues, including child safety or imminent threats, also contact your local emergency services.

We respond to abuse reports within two business days. Genuine reports are acted on quickly; bad-faith reports designed to weaponise the policy against a competitor are themselves a breach.

07Enforcement

Enforcement actions and appeals

Depending on the severity, we may issue a warning, hide or remove the offending content, freeze pending payouts while we investigate, suspend the account temporarily, or terminate the account and ban the underlying email and payment identity from the Marketplace. We reserve the right to retain a record of the violation for the audit-trail period set out in the Privacy Notice.

You may appeal an enforcement action by writing to appeals@ikaroa.com within 30 days. Appeals are reviewed by a person other than the moderator who took the original action. The appeal decision is final, subject to your statutory rights.
