Our Commitments
Modern Slavery Statement
We have a zero tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. This statement sets out the steps we take to prevent it in our business and supply chain.
01
Our Position
Ikaroa has a zero tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships, and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere within our business or our supply chain.
02
Our Business and Supply Chain
Ikaroa is a creative agency and technology studio headquartered at Emirates Towers, Dubai, with offices in Abu Dhabi, London, Los Angeles and San Francisco. We provide design, development, AI, marketing and consulting services to clients globally. Our supply chain includes technology vendors, cloud infrastructure providers, freelance contractors, recruitment partners and office facilities management.
03
Due Diligence
We conduct due diligence on all new suppliers and regularly review existing suppliers. Our due diligence process includes evaluating the risk of modern slavery in our supply chain, requiring suppliers to confirm compliance with anti-slavery legislation, and reserving the right to audit suppliers where we consider there to be a heightened risk.
04
Risk Assessment
We assess the risk of modern slavery occurring within our business and supply chain on an ongoing basis. As a professional services business, our direct workforce risk is low. We recognise that risks may exist further along our supply chain, particularly in facilities management, hardware manufacturing and logistics. We take steps to identify, assess and mitigate these risks.
05
Our Policies
We operate a number of internal policies to ensure we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner. These include our Code of Conduct, Whistleblowing Policy, Recruitment and Employment Policy, and Supplier Code of Conduct. All employees are required to read and comply with these policies.
06
Employee Awareness
We provide awareness training to all employees so they understand the signs of modern slavery and human trafficking and know how to report concerns. We encourage openness and will support anyone who raises genuine concerns in good faith, even if they turn out to be mistaken.
07
Reporting Concerns
We encourage all employees, contractors and suppliers to report any concerns related to the activities of the company or our supply chain. Reports can be made directly to senior leadership or through our confidential reporting channels. No one will suffer any detrimental treatment as a result of reporting in good faith.
08
Continuous Improvement
We are committed to continually improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking. This statement is reviewed and updated annually by the senior leadership team. We will continue to strengthen our policies, procedures and supply chain oversight as our business grows.
