American GRR Racing team owner and race car driver Michele Abbate · Michele Abbate is a professional race car driver, team owner (Grr Racing) in the Trans Am series, and a 4 x road racing champion. A native to Las Vegas, NV she initially got her start at 16 in her local SCCA autocross events and worked her way up the motorsports ladder into track days, time attack, and then on to earning her racing licenses. Michele made her debut in the SCCA National RunOffs Championships in 2018, where she became the youngest female to grasp a podium finish in the GT-1 class. Michele graduated from the UNLV with a Bachelor's degree in Communication and a minor in Marketing and established her motorsports marketing company Grr Enterprises, LLC In 2020 she became the first female to ever earn a podium finish in the Trans Am TA2 category. In 2021, she made her NASCAR debut at COTA. Currently she is the only female racing in the Trans Am TA2 class; the most competitive class in TA.
