It proves you control the account. We never ask for your social-platform password. The code stays in your bio for sixty seconds, then you remove it.
Can I edit how my page looks after I claim?+
Yes. From your dashboard you can rewrite the bio, set your rate card, add brand collaborations, choose which offer types to receive, and add a shipping address for gifted product.
What stops a brand seeing my home address?+
Brands never see your shipping address until you accept a gifted or hosted-stay deal with them. It's never on your public profile.
