But let’s see where it comes from.
A new Apple rumor is circulating that the tech giant is looking to expand the reach of Apple Watches by giving the devices a way to sync with other company devices.
This information comes from a notable industry analyst and leaker analyst941 on Twitter (opens in a new tab) who claims that the Apple Watch will be tied to a single iPhone. One day, users will be able to sync their portable gadget with multiple iPhones, iPads and Mac computers. A release date is unknown, as analyst941 expects this software update to come out this year, which is not out of the question.
It’s unclear exactly how the expansion will be implemented, though suggests MacRumors (opens in a new tab)everything can be done via iCloud. AirPods, for example, can work across multiple Apple devices by linking your iCloud account, meaning you don’t need to reconnect each time. Therefore, the company may be looking for a way to migrate the technology.
Focused on health
As with any rumor, take this information with a grain of salt. But what gives this leak some degree of credibility (besides coming from a reputable source) are the other rumors about a big health and fitness push on the Apple Watch.
It looks like Apple is working to grow its health and fitness platform. The Apple Watch Series 9, possibly configured launch this Septembercould be, according to Bloomberg’s Marg Gurman, getting one AI trainer that will give suggestions to users on how to improve sleep and eating habits, and create exercise programs based on personal statistics. Access to the trainer, codenamed Quartz, “is supposed to require a separate subscription.” Rumors continue to say that Quartz will have a way to “track emotions,” which may be a reference to the upcoming mood tracker for Apple Health.
Gurman claims the AI trainer won’t be announced until next year. However, the tech giant will likely reveal mood tracking and other tools from the Health app at this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WDCC) in June. And at this event, we expect to see the Apple Watch Sync expansion officially revealed.

It looks like Apple fans have something to look forward to as reports have surfaced that the Apple Watch may one day sync with both Macs and iPads. According to TechToday, new leaks suggest that the Apple Watch could launch with the ability to connect to other Apple devices with the possibility of cross-device functionality. If the rumors turn out to be true, using the Apple Watch with a synced Mac or iPad may significantly enhance the user experience.
This rumor is especially exciting for Apple fans as the company typically takes time to perfect and polish products prior to release. This suggests the company is serious about developing a product that delivers streamlined operations and heightened interactions.
