But let’s see where it comes from.
Healthcare technology company Magentus has made a series of acquisitions to accelerate its global expansion.
The company is consolidating Citadel Health, Wellbeing Software and Genie Solutions under one brand, bringing together operations in the UK and Australia and enabling Magentus to bring its solutions to new regions.
Magentus will bring together the best of each of the three companies to help connect the healthcare ecosystem at scale.
Robert Miller, CEO of Magentus EMEA, said: “We are answering the call for greater interoperability and smarter collaboration, laying the foundation for more efficient, personalized and preventative care.”
He continued, “…our focus continues on world-class diagnostics, supporting complex pathways and providing the clinical, analytical and organizational tools that support the best care.
“Our vendor-neutral solutions break down silos between clinical domains and geographies, and focus on enabling smarter collaboration to deliver better healthcare outcomes.”
Citadel Health has recently been making inroads into the UK pathology market, after a long period of leading the field in Australia. The company networked the largest Public Health Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) in the Southern Hemisphere.
Wellbeing Software is a leading provider of digital health and data management solutions in the UK, already supporting around 80% of NHS trusts and hospitals in the UK and Ireland.
Genie Solutions provides software to medical professionals to help them manage their practices more effectively and efficiently.
Miller added: “Increased demand on limited resources has renewed focus on connected health and care solutions that share expertise and break down geographic boundaries. Our goal is to help improve productivity in healthcare networks by reducing time lost and the effort doubled.”
The acquisition announcement comes after it was revealed that Magentus would be deploying the UK’s most extensive connected LIMS networks through the implementation of the national framework in Scotland and regional deployments in Birmingham and Lancashire and South Cumbria.
