Southeast Asian SME funding platform Validus announced the appointment of Anshul Johri as Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO), effective April 5, 2023.

Anshul brings over 17 years of technology experience driving growth and scale for startups and large enterprises across multiple industries, and is responsible for leading technology strategy across the region to propel Validus into its next phase of growth
Before joining Validus, Anshul spent 6 years as Head of Engineering at Indonesian unicorn Traveloka.
At Traveloka, he scaled its financial services products such as payment platform, digital wallet, buy now pay later (BNPL), insurance and wealth management.
Anshul’s experience spans the e-commerce, travel and fintech industries in India and SEA countries.
Validus recently secured its first tranche of funding in a Series C1 round with investment from major new strategic investors in East Asia.
Since its inception in 2015, Validus claims to have disbursed more than $2.6 billion in loans to small businesses in Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand.
